Short film: The Eagleman Stag (1 video)

Posted by on May 9, 2012 in Animation, Film, Video

Again, I must apologize up front for the length of this video (it’s pushing nine minutes), but I can’t pass it up.  It is a beautifully crafted stop-animation by UK-based animator Mikey Please, and the amount of work that went into it is just staggering.

The figures were made out of a unique foam material that gives them an eerily polished look.  The piece used over 115  different sets, and the lighting is some of the best I’ve ever seen on an animated short like this.

The story follows Peter Eagleman, a man obsessed with the concept of time and reversing the effects of aging.  It’s nine minutes of your life you won’t regret spending watching this video.
