Drafting Club designer Derek Hollenberg designed this updated logo for Bloomington, Indiana gourmet pizza restaurant Aver’s Pizza. In 2011, the company was looking to modernize its logo and branding, and Derek came up with this sleek pizza cutter design.
“The trend in gourmet food logo design over the last few years has shifted toward more minimalistic, sophisticated designs – and that’s what I hoped to bring to the Aver’s brand. The ‘A’ from ‘Aver’s’ becomes the circular blade of the pizza cutter, tying the name to the product they offer. I had a lot of fun with this project, and I hope Aver’s enjoys the design as much as I enjoy their pizza.” – Derek Hollenberg, Club designer
