Festo ExoHand – Exoskeleton hands are officially real (1 video)
Ever since MechWarrior, I (and probably every similarly-aged male) have always fantasized about a day when I could hop behind the controls of a giant, unnecessarily dangerous exoskeleton robot and go around generally creating havoc for anyone who has wronged me. It appears that I might not have to wait too much longer.
Below is a video of the ExoHand by Festo, an exoskeleton hand that can be controlled by a user wearing a mechanized glove. It’s amazing to me how much dexterity the hand has, it doesn’t seem far off from being a fully-functioning extension of our own bodies. Weird wild stuff.
