Impressive sculptures made out of rope (21 images)
These rope sculptures were done by artist Mozart Guerra out of France, and they’re really impressive. You don’t typically think of rope when you think of sculpture art, but somehow he really makes it work. The pieces incorporating different colored rope are particularly compelling, the way the different colors stripe them and give them a strange sort of contrast.
The sculptures are 3-D models that are wrapped with rope afterward to give them their unique texture. They have me taking a second look at the 70 feet of paracord in my desk and a couple of sculptures I picked up at garage sales…
