These oversized advertising props make me feel like a kid again. The trees made to look like giant carrots, the nail polish floating in mid-air, and the crane holding the Lego block all make life seem like some sort of bizarre Tim Burton movie – and I love it.
In a world where people are increasingly used to seeing advertising, they’re getting better and better at ignoring and tuning it out. But advertising doesn’t have to be boring, or preachy, and these ads are all great examples of breaking the mold.
These forms of advertising also encourage people to spread the word on their own. I know if I saw a truck for a storage company that had a fake USB drive plug on the end, I would tell my friends about it when I got home.
