A nod to Maurice Sendak (7 images)

I know I’m a little late on this, but I didn’t get a chance to update the site yesterday after I learned that Maurice Sendak passed away.  But I wanted to do something, and this was one of the coolest things I came across about Mr. Sendak and his work.

This comic was originally published in The New Yorker and was written and illustrated by Art Spiegelman about his visit and subsequent conversation with Sendak at his home in Connecticut, and I think it’s just great.

Where the Wild Things Are is and will always be one of my favorite books of all time.  Sad to see the guy go.
