Graphic designer and artist Florian Nicolle created these awesome collage / illustration / watercolor works. The textures in these paintings are too much – but in a good way. Instead of muddling the works, the textures actually enhance them, giving them a sense of depth and in some cases desperation.
These masterful pieces are great examples of how to be heavy-handed with layers of color and content in a way that adds to an image instead of distracting from it. I would love to commission Florian for a couple of family portraits.
