If you’ve ever been to the home screen of this website, you may have noticed a quote from David Craib stating: “Design should never say ‘look at me.’ Design should always say ‘look at this.'”
For this reason, great design often goes unnoticed, which is both good and bad. It’s good because it means it has served it’s purpose, but bad because we often don’t take time to appreciate the thought and work that goes into everything around us.
That’s why I really loved this post featuring vintage cigarette pack designs from around the world. It’s a good reminder that design is everywhere.
