This story sort of blew me away when I read it over at My Modern Met, and I just had to share it.  Basically, French photographers Fabrice Nadjari and Cedric Houin traveled to the Wakhan corridor in Afghanistan to document the people and way of life there.  Many of these people had never even seen a camera or photograph, so the duo took Polaroids of them to have as souvenirs. These photos are of the 2010 eruption of a volcano on one of Iceland’s mountain glacier ice caps called Eyjafjallajökull.  (Yes, that’s the name, and for the sake of time, I will not be typing it again)  Though (relatively) small, the eruption caused a serious disruption to air travel in Europe for nearly a week in April of 2010.
